Eva was born in Miami (that's sunny Florida, folks) in 1974.
Apparently Eva aspired to be a nun and was teased about her buck teeth. She obviously lost those because there's nothing but a beautiful face if you look at her these days.
Although not one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood she was initially encouraged to act by an agent who spotted her early 'potential'. Make of that what you will. Anyway, her first big-screen break was with the film Training Day. No, we haven't heard of it either. Regardless, she must have been decent enough as more roles followed - from Stuck on You, Hitch (alongside  will smith) to Once Upon A Time in Mexico.

Aaah! Now it makes sense. We recognise Eva's name not from the local cinema but from our TV sets! She's the face of an international cosmetics company so you've probably seen her a few times flogging lippy or mascara or whatever it is glamorous women slap on their faces these days.

Hurray for Eva! She was probably thrilled to hear she made it to number 7 in Maxim magazine's 'Hot 100' issue. Presumably it was sexiest women, right? We wouldn't want her to appear in the list of Hot 100 ways to serve pasta.

Things don't always go to plan for movie stars - in 2008 the tabloids reported that Eva had been sent to a rehab facility for an unknown reason. Hopefully she's back and feeling good as we hear she's being lined up to star in an American remake of the popular Mexican film Y Tu Mama Tambien.
